H4G Africa offers underserved young African women an opportunity to play organized basketball to improve their ability to develop a positive attitude towards their future. Currently, we have two major initiatives that have been well received. They are as follows:
Annual National Camp:
The H4G national camp is a program meant to unite girls from all over the country with different talents, backgrounds, and cultures under one roof while being exposed to the H4G experience. Our Goal is to collaborate with U.S coaches along side Indigenous coaches to give our campers the best week of basketball they have ever experienced. Along side our desire to raise the bar of basketball to our young girls, equally focused is the initiative to create seminars that help promote the self development of our participants. Our program includes seminars inspiring the need for a great education, health, wellness, and other social issues that affect young African women today. At the end of our Camp, we culminate the entire week with a team building event and a dinner to make sure our girls leave having been part of a well-rounded and diverse program.
H4G Summer Series:
H4G Summer Series is a new initiative. We hope to target west Africa. For Nigeria, our goal is to create basketball clinics in six strategic geo political zones which will allow for capturing the breadth of diverse socio-economic struggles affecting our girls. We hope to ensure the most productive means of executing our mission of empowering female youth. The program is expected to be six to eight weekends of clinics and seminars that emphasize topics important to our target. Our goal is to spread our positive nature and encouragement for young girls through sports. We hope to add Ghana and Benin Republic to our tour program.
The Princess Classic:
The princess classic is a new initiative that is geared towards female sports development in disadvantaged schools. The goal is to create and sustain school spirit for the participating secondary schools and communities for the purpose of increasing the graduation rates of our target group. H4G Empowerment in Nigeria will reach out to public schools to develop sports programs that will culminate into a holiday tournament during Christmas break called the Princess Classic.
